The Mini Rally Challenge
What have we been up too
The brain child of John Goff, the Mini Rally Challenge is a one make championship, created to provide a budget option for people who want to compete on stage rallies, but don’t necessarily have the support, big budget or experience.
MRC makes motorsport more accessible to people on a budget, home builders and self-servicing crews, though the format of half milage on events with a midway service, bringing down costs of the entry fee and overheads associated with bringing a crew, by doing away with the need for any.
By running first on the road for these event, it also meaning we see the stages in the best condition they can be, putting less strain on the cars and reducing running costs.
You can also choose to compete in the full championship, or just do the tarmac or just do gravel events and be a contender for the single surface Championship if your budget suits that more, or you prefer those events and conditions.
There really is something for everyone within our championship…
So in 2020, The Mini Rally Challenge broke onto the rally scene.
Since then, the championship has gone from strength to strength, growing organically, from a single R50 class into the two class structure (R50 and R53) championship we know today.
